Yuriy Brun

Yuriy Brun is a Professor in the Manning College of Information & Computer Sciences at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. His research focuses on software engineering, systems security, and automation, with a particular emphasis on self-adaptive systems, fairness in machine learning, and formal verification. He co-directs the LASER and PLASMA laboratories.

Teaching: Courses include Introduction to Software Engineering (CS 320), Advanced Software Engineering (CS 621), and Hot Topics in Software Engineering Research (CS 692P).

Labs & Teams: Leads the LASER (LAnguage, Software Engineering, and Robotics) and PLASMA (Programming Languages and Systems at Massachusetts) labs. Collaborates with industry partners like Oracle and Meta.
