Yuri Muzychka

Yuri Muzychka is a Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Memorial University. He holds a B.Eng. from Memorial University (1993), and M.A.Sc. and PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Waterloo (1995 and 1999). His research focuses on complex internal flows, electronics cooling, and thermal design optimization. He is affiliated with the Microfluidics and Multiphase Flow Research Laboratory and has received the Petro-Canada Young Innovator Award (2004).

His educational background includes postdoctoral research at the University of Waterloo and part-time consulting for R-Theta, Inc. Teaching responsibilities span fluid mechanics, heat transfer, and thermodynamics at both undergraduate and graduate levels. Current research is supported by NSERC, the Newfoundland and Labrador Industrial Research and Innovation Fund (IRIF), and industry partners like TAT Technologies and Suncor/Petro-Canada.
