Yunyi Jia

Dr. Yunyi Jia is the McQueen Quattlebaum Professor of Automotive Engineering in Clemson University's School of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering. He directs the Collaborative Robotics and Automation (CRA) Lab with facilities at CU-ICAR and the Center for Manufacturing Innovation. His research spans collaborative robotics for smart manufacturing and collaborative vehicle systems for intelligent transportation.

Research focuses on:

• Human-robot collaboration in manufacturing environments
• Connected and automated vehicle technologies
• Off-road autonomous systems and terrain navigation
• Ridesharing user behavior and service optimization

Honors include NSF CAREER Award, SAE Teetor Educational Award, and multiple best paper awards. Research is supported by NSF, Ford, Bosch, and other industry partners.
