Yunlong Liu

Yunlong Liu is Professor of Medical and Molecular Genetics, Biostatistics, and Biomedical Engineering and Informatics at Indiana University, with adjunct appointment in Bioinformatics at the Luddy School of Informatics, Computing, and Engineering. He directs the Laboratory for Computational Genomics, focusing on regulatory mechanisms of gene expression through systems biology approaches.

Research integrates functional genomics, statistical modeling, and computational methods to study transcriptional regulation, post-transcriptional modifications, and epigenetic controls. Current NIH-funded projects investigate gene expression dynamics in biomedical contexts.

Awards include the CAMDA 2009 Best Presentation Award and 2007 World Congress Achievement Award. He serves as associate editor for BMC Genomics and editorial board member for several bioinformatics journals.
