About
Dr. Yue Chen is an Associate Professor in the Department of Biochemistry, Molecular Biology and Biophysics at the University of Minnesota's College of Biological Sciences. His research focuses on discovering novel posttranslational modification (PTM) pathways involved in protein homeostasis, cellular signaling, and epigenetic regulation using mass spectrometry-based proteomics, chemical biology, and bioinformatics.
- Ph.D. from University of Texas at Arlington
- Postdoctoral training at University of Chicago
Research Interests include:
- Quantitative chemical proteomics for lysine modification pathways
- Environmental impacts on PTM networks in cancer and metabolic diseases
- Development of stoichiometry analysis tools for ubiquitination and acetylation
- Epigenetic reprogramming via histone modifications
Publications highlight his lab's innovations in crosslinking interactome analysis, constitutional isomer profiling, and hypoxia signaling. Awards include the NSF CAREER and NIH R35 MIRA grants, as well as HHMI Fellowships for inclusive excellence. His team includes graduate students and postdoctoral fellows working on cancer models, metabolic diseases, and environmental toxicology projects.
