Yuanyuan Yin

Professor Yuanyuan Yin is an Associate Professor in Design at the Winchester School of Art, University of Southampton, where she has worked since 2009. Her work bridges design management, branding, and inclusive service design, particularly for ageing populations. She teaches across design management, branding, and research disciplines.

• MA in Design Strategy & Innovation
• B.Eng in Industrial Design from China

Her research focuses on inclusive design for ageing, product/service design, and retail service design, with grants totaling £1.3M from ESRC, British Council, and Confucius Institute. Recent projects include:

• Inclusive service design for pension protection
• Museum experience design in digital contexts
• Smart textile design for healthy ageing
• AI applications in AAC symbol generation

She supervises multiple PhD students in Design and Human Development fields, and leads interdisciplinary collaborations with researchers across digital humanities, health informatics, and social policy domains.
