Yu Song

Yu Song is a Research Mentor in the Department of Health, Sport and Exercise Sciences at the University of Kansas. Their research focuses on biomechanical analysis of anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injuries and rehabilitation assessment.

• Research Interests: Biomechanics, ACL injury prevention, joint loading analysis, clinical rehabilitation, re-injury risk factors, and movement monitoring.
• Methodology: Utilizes motion capture systems and force plates in the Biomechanics Laboratory at Robinson Center to analyze jump-landing mechanics.
• Student Training: Provides hands-on experience with biomechanical equipment and data modeling, particularly for students pursuing careers in physical therapy, occupational therapy, and physician assistantship.
