Yu Kuang

Yu Kuang is an Associate Professor in the Department of Integrated Health Sciences at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV), where he directs the CAMPEP-accredited professional doctorate in medical physics program. He is a certified therapeutic medical physicist by the American Board of Radiology.

• Educational Background: PhD in Biomedical Engineering from Case Western Reserve University (2009), Postdoctoral training at University of Michigan (2010) and Stanford University (2012)

His research focuses on:

• Integration of novel medical imaging devices with linear accelerators and proton therapy
• Real-time image-guided and adaptive radiation therapy
• Combining biological and imaging biomarkers for cancer detection/intervention
• Nanotechnology applications in imaging and therapeutics
• Biological imaging for radiation biology and clinical applications
