Dr Yu Kao is an Associate Lecturer (TIEA) in the School of Design at Queensland University of Technology (QUT), within the Faculty of Creative Industries, Education & Social Justice. His research focuses on digital design, privacy in technology, and placemaking, with a particular emphasis on geoprivacy and ethical design. Kao holds a PhD from QUT and has contributed to projects such as the Brisbane Digital Urban Experiences Horizon Scan Report and studies on cultural probes for privacy reflection.
