Dr. Youssef Chouhoud is an Associate Professor of Political Science at Christopher Newport University (CNU), affiliated with the Reiff Center for Human Rights and Conflict Resolution. He also serves as a Public Fellow with the Public Religion Research Institute (PRRI), focusing on religious, racial, and ethnic pluralism in the U.S. His research examines political tolerance, democratic norms, and the role of religiosity in shaping social and political attitudes, with a particular emphasis on Muslim and Arab American communities. Chouhoud holds a Ph.D. in Political Science and International Relations from the University of Southern California (USC), an M.A. in Political Science, and a B.A. in History from Lehigh University. He has received grants and fellowships including the Global Religion Research Initiative's Curriculum Development Grant (2019) and the American Political Science Association's MENA Collaborative Grant (2017).
