Young Ryu

Young Ryu is an Associate Professor of Management at the Naveen Jindal School of Management, University of Texas at Dallas. He holds a Ph.D. in Management Science and Information Systems from the University of Texas at Austin (1992), an MBA in Engineering Management from the University of Dallas (1986), and a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Seoul National University (1985).

His research focuses on Data Mining, Big Data Analytics, Computer & Information Security, Social Network Analysis, Recommendation Systems, and Business Process Management. Methodologies include analytic optimization, algorithmic methods, and empirical analysis.

Ryu has received the 1996-1997 School of Management Teaching Award. He actively contributes to university governance, serving on committees such as the School of Management IT Committee and the Committee on Information Resource Security. He coordinates the Management Science & Information Systems Area and teaches courses like Database Management, Information Security, and Cloud Computing.
