Dr. Yoo Ri Kim is a Senior Lecturer in Hospitality Management at the University of Surrey's Surrey Hospitality and Tourism Management department within the Faculty of Arts, Business and Social Sciences. She serves as Widening Participation Lead and Social Media Co-Lead for SHTM while acting as Open Research Champion. Her academic credentials include a BSc in Geography with Economics from LSE, MSc in International Tourism Development from Surrey, and PhD on spatial clustering in hospitality funded by ESRC.
Her research focuses on applied economics in tourism, big/geospatial data analytics, productivity measurement, and equity/diversity/inclusion. Key projects include The UK Tourism Productivity Gap for VisitBritain and Spatial Disparities in SME Productivity with the Productivity Insights Network. She collaborates with industry partners like Mozee Limited on urban data analytics.
