Yongbin Feng is an Assistant Professor of Physics at Texas Tech University, specializing in experimental particle physics. His research focuses on precision electroweak measurements, machine learning applications for particle reconstruction, and dark matter searches through the CMS and DarkQuest experiments.
He earned a Ph.D. from the University of Maryland (2020) and a B.S. from the University of Science and Technology of China (2015), followed by postdoctoral work at Fermilab. He developed the SONIC framework for ML inference in HEP and contributes to calorimeter R&D for DarkQuest. Publications span W/Z boson cross-sections, pileup mitigation algorithms, and dark sector phenomenology.
