Yong Tu

Assoc Prof Yong Tu is an Associate Professor of Real Estate at the National University of Singapore's NUS Business School since January 2022. He holds a PhD from Napier University and specializes in applied economics, urban planning, and housing policy. His research focuses on green building standards, urban sprawl, housing market dynamics, and post-pandemic urban living. He teaches with a focus on active learning, integrating real-world examples to enhance student engagement and lifelong learning skills.

Research Interests: Aging-in-place, green building policies, urban housing economics, and sustainable development. Recent studies include the impact of minimum green building mandates in Singapore and institutional drivers of urban sprawl in China.
