Yong Chen is a Research Director (DR1 CNRS) and Professor at the Ecole Normale Supérieure (ENS), where he leads the microfluidics team within the Department of Chemistry. He holds a BS in condensed matter physics from Wuhan University (1982) and MS/PhD degrees from the University of Montpelier (1983/1986). His research focuses on biomedical applications, including cancer diagnosis, stem cell engineering, and microfluidic technologies for in-vitro tissue modeling. He has held adjunct roles at Kyoto University, Peking University, and Hong Kong Polytechnic University. With over 500 publications and leadership in numerous research projects, he has supervised 50+ PhD/postdoc students.
