Yonca Bayrakdar

Yonca Bayrakdar is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Engineering at Canakkale Onsekiz Mart University's Engineering Faculty since 2018. Previously served as Research Assistant at both Ege University (2005-2013) and Canakkale Onsekiz Mart University (2013-2017). Holds a PhD from Ege University (2012) and completed postdoctoral research at Universidade do Porto (2015-2016).

Her research focuses on underwater wireless sensor networks, routing protocols, and artificial intelligence applications. She has supervised four graduate theses and serves as Erasmus Program Department Coordinator since 2024.

Professional experience spans software engineering (2004-2005), academic research, and leadership roles including Head of Department (2022-2023) and Faculty Board Member (2018-2021). Teaches courses in software engineering, artificial intelligence, and operating systems.
