Ying Xia is a Professor of Finance in the Department of Banking and Finance at Monash Business School, Monash University. She joined Monash in 2016 after completing her Ph.D. in Finance from the University of Hong Kong.
- Research Interests: Empirical Corporate Finance, Climate Finance, Institutional Investors, Corporate Culture
Her research explores intersections of financial decision-making with sustainability and social responsibility, contributing to UN Sustainable Development Goals.
Recent publications focus on environmental risks, regulatory impacts, and disaster market responses. Notable awards include the Best Paper Award in Corporate Finance (2021), Bureau Van Dijk Prize (2016), and Best Paper Prize at FIRN Conference (2022).
