Dr. Yiming Liu is a Research Fellow at the WZB Berlin Social Science Center and Humboldt University of Berlin, affiliated with the Research Department Market Behavior. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Pittsburgh (2019) and a B.A. in Economics with honors from Peking University (2007-2011).
His research focuses on Behavioral Economics and Experimental Economics, with notable contributions exploring topics such as correspondence bias in economic interactions, pandemic compliance behaviors, and the effects of formal insurance on informal risk-sharing. He has taught courses including Intro to Microeconomics and Game Theory (Master’s level).
Dr. Liu collaborates extensively, with co-authors like Yi Han, George Loewenstein, and Gyula Seres. His current projects include studies on managerial cognition, gender gaps in university admissions, and fairness in unequal societies.
