Yijing Liu serves as Assistant Professor of Chemistry in the School of Science, Technology and Health, specializing in water quality research and public health protection through engineering solutions.

Education

• B.S. in Environmental Engineering, Beijing University of Chemical Technology

Research Interests

Her work centers on environmental microbiology applications for public health, with primary focus on wastewater surveillance systems, waterborne pathogen detection/control methodologies, real-time water quantity monitoring, and UV disinfection optimization in drinking water infrastructure. Field sampling and laboratory-based method development form the empirical backbone of her approach to combating waterborne disease transmission.
