Yi Yu

Yi Yu is a Professor in the Department of Statistics at the University of Warwick, specializing in high-dimensional statistics with a focus on change point analysis, differential privacy, and network analysis. She holds editorial roles at Biometrika, Bernoulli, and Journal of Machine Learning Research. Her research is funded by EPSRC and the Leverhulme Trust, including the prestigious Philip Leverhulme Prize (2023).

Research Interests: Yi’s work bridges statistical theory and applications in machine learning, including high-dimensional regression, functional data analysis, and privacy-preserving methods. She has pioneered methodologies for change point detection in complex systems and dynamic networks, with applications in economics, neuroscience, and distributed learning environments.

Software: Developer of R packages changepoints, GMPro, fcd, and APPLE, widely used in change point analysis and statistical modeling.
