Yetunde Dairo

Dr. Yetunde Dairo is an Associate Professor and Head of Physiotherapy at Buckinghamshire New University, leading the School of Health and Social Care Professions' research initiatives. She holds leadership roles in the university's administration and directs the Physical Activity Research Group. Her teaching focuses on research methodologies, evidence-based practice, neurosciences, and long-term conditions management.

Dr. Dairo’s research specializes in physical activity among marginalized populations, particularly individuals with disabilities, ethnic minorities, and socially disadvantaged groups. Current projects investigate rebound exercise efficacy for neurological disorder patients and implicit racial bias mitigation in clinical supervision. She has extensive clinical experience across acute, rehabilitation, and community settings, including international work in Nigeria and Seychelles over 28 years.

Key contributions include developing simulation-based learning tools recognized by the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (2024 Commendation) and creating racial inclusivity training resources for healthcare education. She serves as a Lead Partner with the Health and Care Professions Council and actively promotes diversity in healthcare practice through policy engagement and interdisciplinary collaboration.
