Yesu Persaud is a Guyanese philanthropist and businessman, and an Associate Fellow of the University of Warwick's Yesu Persaud Centre for Caribbean Studies since 2008. He received an honorary Doctorate from the University of Warwick in 2008. His career spans business leadership, philanthropy, and advocacy for Indian cultural heritage in Guyana and the Caribbean.
His research interests include Caribbean history, the legacy of Indian indentured laborers, and cultural preservation. He has been central to initiatives like the Monument Garden commemorating the 1838 arrival of Indian laborers to Guyana.
