Yesem Peker

Dr. Yesem Peker is a Professor at the TSYS School of Computer Science at Columbus State University, where he has been affiliated since Spring 2013. He also serves as the Interim Director of the Graduate School. Previously, he taught Mathematics at Pomona College (Claremont, CA) and Randolph College (Lynchburg, VA).

• B.S. in Computer Engineering, Middle East Technical University (Turkey)

Dr. Peker’s research focuses on cryptography, particularly on designing cryptosystems based on novel hard mathematical problems. His work emphasizes secure key exchange protocols over public channels like the Internet. He has contributed to advancing applications of mathematical theories in information security.
