Professor Yeng Ang is an Honorary Chair in Gastroenterology specializing in Barrett's esophagus and esophageal cancer. As a Consultant Gastroenterologist at Salford Royal NHS Foundation Trust, he leads clinical research on neoplastic progression and patient outcomes.
His recent work includes developing the B-PROM patient-reported outcome measure for Barrett's esophagus and coordinating the Oesophageal Cancer Clinical and Molecular Stratification Consortium. Research demonstrates that quality of life remains comparable across dysplasia states and unchanged after endoscopic therapy.
