Yee Han Chu is the Academic Support and Fellowship Opportunities Coordinator at the University of North Dakota (UND) Faculty Affairs Office, where she assists students, alumni, and faculty in applying for nationally competitive scholarships such as Fulbright, Goldwater, and Marshall. She previously served as an Assistant Professor in UND's Social Work Department.
- Education: BA in Psychology and BS in Genetics from UC Davis (1991); MSSW in Advanced Clinical Social Work from Columbia University (1995); PhD in Teaching and Learning with emphasis on higher education from UND (2014)
Research Interests: Gifted Education, Social Justice, Sensory Processing Needs, and Technology in Teaching.
Scientific Awards:
- Best Research Paper Award for co-authored paper on gifted education policy
Advising & Grants: Mentored students in gifted education and professional development, and facilitated UND's institutional membership in the Fulbright Association.
Leadership: Co-founded the North Dakota Association for Gifted Children (NDAGC), served as its first president, and co-authored state guidelines for gifted education.
