About
Yawen He is a Researcher at CIC energiGUNE's Cell Design and Manufacturing group since April 2023, specializing in electrochemical energy storage systems. Previously, he served as a Senior R&D Engineer at Shanshan Technology Co.Ltd. (2021-2023) developing hard carbon materials for Na-ion batteries in collaboration with industry partners including CATL, and completed his PhD research at Institut Charles Gerhardt Montpellier (ICGM-AIME) in France.
His academic foundation includes:
- B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering and Technology, University of Southwest Petroleum (Chengdu, China), 2021
Dr. He's research centers on advanced battery material characterization and development, with deep expertise in Operando techniques (XRD, Mössbauer spectroscopy) and electrochemical impedance analysis. His work targets Silicon-based anodes for Li-ion systems and Prussian blue cathodes for Na-ion batteries, focusing on interface dynamics and material evolution during cycling. Current efforts emphasize hard carbon synthesis optimization for sodium-ion battery commercialization.
Key recognitions include:
- 1st Award of Scholarship (2017)
- Scholarship for Study in France (2018)
At CIC energiGUNE, he contributes to the Cell Prototyping research area within the Electrochemical Energy Storage division, driving industry-academia collaborations for next-generation battery manufacturing.
