Dr. Yanyan Li is an Assistant Professor in the School of Food and Agriculture at the University of Maine, affiliated with the Maine Agricultural and Forest Experiment Station. Her research focuses on diet-derived bioactives, particularly isothiocyanates from cruciferous vegetables, and their role in disease prevention and management.
Education:
- PhD in Nutrition and Food Science, Ohio State University (2011)
Research Areas: Anti-cancer properties, anti-inflammatory mechanisms, molecular biology of dietary components, gastrointestinal disease prevention, public health, and human nutrition.
