Yannick Pouilloux

Professor Yannick Pouilloux is Director of IC2MP (Institute of Chemistry of Environments and Materials of Poitiers) and leads the SAMCat research team. His work focuses on designing nanostructured catalysts for sustainable chemical processes, particularly converting plant-based compounds into high-value chemicals. He directs multiple national and European projects including ANR-funded initiatives on fatty ester conversion.

Research emphasizes green chemistry applications in oleochemistry and biomass valorization, with industrial collaborations yielding commercialized outputs like SERENACTIV®. Teaching responsibilities include heterogeneous catalysis and chromatography courses. Administrative roles encompass former directorship of the Chemistry Department (2007-2010) and current membership in regional scientific councils.
