Yanling Wang serves as Professor of International Affairs at Carleton University's Norman Paterson School of International Affairs (NPSIA), where she joined the faculty in July 2003 after previous roles as a World Bank consultant (2001-2003) and researcher at China's State Economic & Trade Commission (1995-1997).
Her educational qualifications include:

Professor Wang specializes in empirical research on international trade and foreign direct investment, employing firm-level data from Canada and China to examine productivity impacts, ownership structure changes, R&D expenditures, and export dynamics. Her methodological approach bridges macro and microeconomic analysis with significant contributions to understanding developing economies.
