Yang Chen is a postdoctoral researcher at the Laboratory of Intelligent Systems (LIS) under the School of Engineering (STI) at École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL). He obtained his Ph.D. in Human Informatics from the University of Tsukuba in 2023 and has held research positions at University of Tsukuba, ETH Zurich, and CNRS-AIST JRL.
- Research Interests: Aerial robotics, human augmentation, shared control, assistive technology, SLAM, and wearable devices.
- Awards: JST SPRING Fellowship (Class 1), JSPS Research Fellow DC2, Toyota Mobility Unlimited Challenge Finalist.
- Projects: Symbiotic aerial swarms, smart stroller control, standing mobility vehicle interfaces, and docking support systems.
