Yanfei Qi

Dr. Yanfei Qi is an Associate Professor and Chair of Pharmacology at Duquesne University's College of Osteopathic Medicine. She holds a MD and MSc from Guizhou Medical University and a PhD from the University of Florida. Her roles include teaching pharmacology and pathology, serving as course coordinator, exam coach, and academic success director at institutions like LECOM and CHSU. She has been recognized as "Biomedical Teacher of the Year" in 2022 by second-year medical students.

Her research focuses on heart failure and hyperuricemia, with 41 peer-reviewed publications and 44 conference abstracts. She emphasizes student mentorship, having mentored students facing academic challenges and pioneered teaching methods like team-based learning (TBL) and problem-based learning (PBL).
