Yan W. Asmann

Yan W. Asmann, Ph.D., is a Professor of Biomedical Informatics at Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida, with primary appointments as Consultant in the Division of Computational Biology and Vice Chair of the Department of Quantitative Health Sciences. He holds joint appointments in the Departments of Neurosurgery and Cancer Biology.

He co-directs the Bioinformatics/Biostatistics Cores for the Multiple Myeloma SPORE and Alzheimer's Disease U19 initiatives.

Recent research outputs highlight his expertise in single-cell RNA sequencing, cancer genomics, and spaceflight-induced gene expression changes. His 2025 publications include tools like Immunopipe and studies on cyclin D1 regulation in multiple myeloma.
