Yan Lu

Yan Lu is an Associate Professor of Finance at the University of Central Florida's College of Business, affiliated with the Department of Finance and Dr. P. Phillips School of Real Estate. She holds a PhD from University of Florida and is a CFA charterholder (2012).

Her research explores behavioral finance and alternative investments, particularly hedge fund dynamics, manager psychology, and market anomalies. Work examines how personality traits, political awareness, and biological factors influence investment decisions. Recent publications investigate racial disparities, facial metrics, regulatory strategies, and pension performance.

Dr. Lu's internationally recognized work has been published in Journal of Finance, Management Science, and Journal of Financial Economics, and featured in CNN, The Economist, and Wall Street Journal.
