Yan Asadchy is an interdisciplinary researcher affiliated with the School of Humanities at Tallinn University and the Digital Therapeutics (DTx) Research Group at Oulu University in Finland. He is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Cultural Data Analytics under the supervision of Professors Maximilian Schich and Marek Tamm, while also conducting research on digital health applications for individuals with multiple sclerosis.

His research bridges computer science and humanities, utilizing computational methods to analyze digital culture and self-representation on social media platforms. Yan has also contributed to industry-academia collaborations through his design agency, Affinity OÜ, which focuses on ethical design solutions for digital health and AI projects.
Yan was a visiting student at the MIT Media Lab’s Human Dynamics Group, where he explored income segregation patterns in cultural spaces under the guidance of Professor Esteban Moro. He remains an active member of the MIT Connection Science group.
