Yajun Mo is an Associate Professor in the Department of History at Boston College. She specializes in Modern China, focusing on national image production through travel culture, photography, and gender history. Her research includes a book manuscript on photographer Zhuang Xueben’s exploration of Sino-Tibetan frontiers, supported by the Henry Luce Foundation. Her first book, *Touring China: A History of Travel Culture, 1912-1949*, redefines China’s tourism history. She holds a PhD from UC Santa Cruz and has held positions at Long Island University and Albion College. Awards include the Luce Fellowship and Chancellor’s Dissertation Year Fellowship.
