Dr Yaar Dagan is a Lecturer in Law at Bournemouth University within the Department of Humanities & Law, Faculty of Media & Communication. He serves as Programme Leader for LLB Law (Student Experience & Engagement) and Co-Director of the BU Research Network for MENA Studies.

His research examines intersections between drone warfare, settler colonialism, and international legal frameworks. He explores how technological violence interacts with human rights and decolonization movements, particularly in conflict zones.
Recent academic activities include presenting at the Sussex Centre for Human Rights Research (2022) and participating in Gaza crisis-related public engagement events (2024). He has contributed to discussions on climate politics and social justice through workshops.
