Xunming Deng

Professor Xunming Deng is affiliated with the College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics at the University of Toledo, where he serves in the Physics and Astronomy department. His research focuses on advanced materials and devices for renewable energy applications.

Deng's research interests span photovoltaic technology, amorphous silicon materials, thin film deposition, and photoelectrochemical hydrogen production. He has pioneered methods for high-efficiency solar cells and water-splitting systems using silicon alloys. His publication trends highlight innovations in multijunction solar cell design, phase diagram optimization, and light-trapping mechanisms, alongside contributions to nuclear physics through studies of parity-violating asymmetry in electron-deuteron scattering.
