Xu Hua is a Professor at the Chinese Academy of Sciences and currently serves as Deputy Director of the State Key Laboratory of Soil and Sustainable Agriculture and Director of the Center for Soil Use and Environmental Change. His research focuses on greenhouse gas emissions from farmland and mitigation strategies.
Research Interests: Xu Hua's work centers on mechanisms of methane and nitrous oxide emissions from rice paddy ecosystems, exploring soil properties, microbial processes, and agricultural management practices to reduce emissions.
