Dr. Xinyi Shen is an Assistant Research Professor in the Department of Civil & Environmental Engineering at the University of Connecticut (UConn) and currently serves as a postdoctoral associate at the HyDROS Lab, University of Oklahoma. He holds a PhD in Remote Sensing from Peking University, Beijing, China, where his dissertation focused on soil moisture retrieval using microwave remote sensing modeling techniques. His research is supported by the HyDROS Lab at OU.

Research Interests: Dr. Shen specializes in soil moisture retrieval, microwave remote sensing models, and the integration of these with distributed hydrological models.
