Xin Sun is a Senior Lecturer in Chinese and East Asian Business at the Lau China Institute and King's Business School, King's College London. He holds a PhD in Political Science from Northwestern University, a BA in Chemistry and Economics from Peking University, and an MA in Economics from the Chinese Academy of Sciences. Prior roles include positions at the University of Oxford and Trinity College Dublin.
Research Interests: Political economy of China, government-business relations, land politics, rural governance, authoritarian institutions, and research methodology. Current projects focus on land institutions, housing markets, and the interplay between formal/informal political practices.
