Dr. Xin Liu is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at the University of Texas at Arlington and a member of the Institute for Predictive Performance Methodologies at the UTA Research Institute. He holds a PhD in Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering from Purdue University.
His research develops computational methods at the intersection of:
- Multiscale modeling of composite materials
- Machine learning for materials design
- Additive manufacturing simulation
- Lattice metamaterials
- Finite element analysis
