Xiao Xu

Xiao Xu is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Risk and Actuarial Studies at the UNSW Business School. Her expertise spans actuarial science, risk management, business analytics, and climate risk management. She is actively involved in developing solutions for net-zero and sustainability challenges. Her research frequently intersects with global health issues, particularly through contributions to the Global Burden of Disease Study.

Key research interests include dietary patterns and chronic disease epidemiology, cardiovascular risk factors, and the impact of migration on health behaviors. She has led interdisciplinary projects analyzing obesity trends, stroke burden, and the societal impact of hypertension.
