Xiang Ao is a Research Assistant and geospatial data scientist at the Leverhulme Centre for Demographic Science, University of Oxford, contributing to the Mapineq project which investigates drivers of inequalities across spatial scales and time periods. He is also a DPhil student at the School of Geography and the Environment, focusing on inter-city migration patterns in China’s urban system and their implications for industrial development and economic growth.
