Xavier Parent-Rocheleau is an Associate Professor in the Department of Human Resources Management at HEC Montréal. His research focuses on algorithmic management, AI in HRM, and workplace surveillance. He holds a Ph.D. in Human Resource Management from UQAM and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at Curtin University. He is a member of the International Observatory on the Societal Impacts of AI and Digital Technology (OBVIA).

Teaching: Courses on compensation management, digital HRM, and organizational behavior.
Research Interests: Algorithmic control, gig economy compensation, employee well-being in digital workplaces.

Recent awards include the 2024 Best Article Prize for algorithmic management theory and the HEC Montréal New Researcher Award (2023). He has supervised 13 master’s theses and projects, focusing on topics like algorithmic transparency and gig worker motivation.
