Włodzimierz Batóg is Professor of History at the American Studies Center, University of Warsaw. His scholarship examines American radical politics and social movements during the Cold War era, with monographs on the Communist Party USA and Ivy League student protests against the Vietnam War. Current research analyzes Billy Graham's 1978 Poland visit and eugenics influences on US immigration policy.
His archival work has received support from DAAD, Fulbright, and Library of Congress fellowships. Teaching includes courses on 1960s America, political photography in Life Magazine, and 19th-century US social history.
Research methodologies combine archival analysis with cultural studies approaches to examine political dissent and transnational religious influences during the Cold War.
