Wouter Eggink

Wouter Eggink is an Assistant Professor in Interaction Design, focusing on the intersections of Design, Technology, and Society. He co-developed the 'Practical Turn' concept, integrating Design Research with Philosophy of Technology. His educational contributions include curriculum design for the Mastertrack Human Technology Relations and courses in Creative Technology. He is a Research Fellow at DesignLab and served as External Examiner at Nottingham Trent University (2015–2019).

His research explores ethics in design education, speculative ethics, and the role of historical design insights. Key themes include responsible innovation, sustainable development goals, and the application of mediation theory in healthcare environments. He has been recognized with Red DOT Design Awards (2002, 2003) and has supervised one documented student project.
