Wong Teck Yee

Associate Professor Wong Teck Yee is an academic and clinical leader at Nanyang Technological University’s Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine (LKCMedicine), where he serves as Assistant Dean and Year 4 Clinical Lead for the MBBS programme. He holds concurrent roles as Senior Consultant Family Physician at Tan Tock Seng Hospital (NHG) and Education Director of NHG Pre-professional Education Office, alongside being Academic Director of NHG College. His academic roles include overseeing Year 4 clinical specialties (Paediatrics, Family Medicine, Geriatrics, Emergency Medicine) and coordinating Early Patient Contact modules in Years 1–2.

Education: MBBS (National University of Singapore, 1995), Family Medicine residency (2001), and advanced training via a Health Manpower Development Programme scholarship at Monash University (2005). Previously, he was Assistant Professor at NUS (2006–2011), leading Family Medicine undergraduate education across 18 polyclinics and private clinics. Clinically, he practices Family Medicine and examines postgraduate medical candidates.

Research and professional contributions focus on medical education innovation, healthcare education systems, and public health. He actively publishes in journals like BMC Medical Education and serves as a reviewer for peer-reviewed publications. National committee roles include the Family Medicine Residency Advisory Committee and Medical Students Training Steering Committee.

Strategic leadership extends to NHG’s clinical training and health professions education development through his dual academic and healthcare roles.
