Winston Chow is a Professor of Urban Climate at Singapore Management University's (SMU) College of Integrative Studies (CIS), where he also serves as the Lee Kong Chian Research Fellow. He leads the Urban Infrastructure research pillar at SMU's Urban Institute and acts as Principal Investigator for the multi-institute Cooling Singapore initiative since 2017.

A prominent figure in climate policy, he was elected Co-Chair of the IPCC Working Group II in 2023.
