Windee Weiss

Windee Weiss served as a faculty member in the Department of Health, Physical Education, and Leisure Services within the College of Education at the University of Northern Iowa from the 2003-2004 academic year through 2015-2016. She held the rank of Assistant Professor from 2003-2004 until her promotion to Associate Professor in 2009-2010, and additionally served as Interim Associate Dean of the College of Education during her final academic year (2015-2016).

Her academic work centered on the interdisciplinary domains of Health Education, Physical Education, and Leisure Services, focusing on human movement science, community wellness initiatives, and recreational programming design. These fields emphasize evidence-based approaches to promoting physical activity, health literacy, and quality-of-life improvements across diverse populations through structured educational frameworks.
