William Yarbrough Jr.

William Yarbrough Jr. is a Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center and a member of the Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine. He also serves as the National Program Director of Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Sleep for the VA Central Office and as Chief of the Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Sleep Section at the North Texas VA Health Care System in Dallas.

Education:

• Bachelor's degrees in Chemistry, Biology, and Mathematics from the University of Mississippi
• Master's degree in Immunopathology from the University of Mississippi
• Medical Degree (M.D.) from the University of Mississippi in Oxford
• Internal Medicine Residency at the University of Mississippi, where he served as Chief Resident
• Fellowship in Pulmonary Diseases at UT Southwestern Medical Center

Dr. Yarbrough's clinical and research interests span Sleep Medicine, Pulmonary Care, Lung Diseases, and Critical Care Medicine. His work focuses on advancing diagnostics and treatment in these areas. He is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in pulmonary and critical care medicine.
